Movie plot
The film is based on the historical background of the Japanese army’s raid on the Eighth Route Army’s base in southern Hebei in 1942. Through artistic adaptation, it shows the tenacious resistance of the anti-Japanese army and the people. In the desperate situation of being outnumbered by the enemy, Lü Changshun, the deputy company commander of a company of the New Fourth Brigade, took the initiative to lead a small team to divert the main force of the Japanese army, buying time for the troops and the people to evacuate.
