Yun Seok Hun is a partner lawyer and leader of the litigation team at Yullim Law Firm. He is a cool-headed risk-taker who pressures his opponents with creative logic. He is admired by his colleagues for his solid skills as a lawyer, but he is not easy to approach because of his cold attitude and complete lack of small talk. Kang Hyo Min is a rookie lawyer and works with Yun Seok Hun. She is socially awkward, but she is righteous and confident. She clashes with Yun Seok Hun over everything, but grows into a real lawyer.
Episodes:
the legal stories are entertaining, thankfully the show ended before the pull the romantic cliche on the leads…between the senior associates is fine.
lady in last ep so frigging selfish. she isnt being progressive but ridiculous.
Episode 12
SPOILER ALERT
I think they pretty much close the stories…good. I would’ve wanted more but they concluded it quite nice…a bit rush of each story but at least they did close them…like with Atty. Kang’s twin and Mom.
Sorry I’m a hopeless romantic so I’d rather have a cliche and direct ending…an answer to that last line of Atty. Yoon…
“To me, love is…”
“Being comfortable like this with you…I think this is a start of love.”
I don’t want to assume even though it’s obvious that he likes her.
This was a good law drama…I liked that we learned new things not just about the law but also about family, relationship, friendship & as colleagues.
I liked some parts of the drama but most of it was the dynamics of the two leads when no one else was around. The rest of it was kind of weird.
The side story with the firm and the takeover. The young female lawyer and the kids. This and some other things that were going on felt random and out of place. A bunch of useless filler that did nothing for the drama. It was just useless filler. And the end was absolutely anticlimactic. Oh!! I also had no problems with the 10 yr gap in both of the relationships. Some ppl go psycho over this and its STUPID. 🙄
why did he handcuffed himself to the itch ex just because of dog, not even a very nice one. it should have been a fresh start for him long ago.
sue the heck out of that pet store employee! dumb itch. why didnt they just rush that sick custard?
a bit inappropriate to ask boss man to help her look after a colleague’s siblings. abit disappointed boss man devolves into generic nice guy, especially to her.
Episode 11
SPOILER ALERT
Before watching the preview i was supposed to comment…
Just kiss already! It’s episode 11 and the 2nd couple has more progress than the main couple! But I know there’s no romance tag so I’m just ranting.
But after seeing the preview…I guess there’s still a last minute insert of the romance tag for the main couple!
After the conversation of Atty. Yoon and hos ex-wife…all I could say was…good thing they’re divorced. They still hurt each other with old wounds…I guess now Atty. Yoon can really move on.
no getting away from cringey courtroom speeches. but the show is mostly short and sweet, finale next week.
he dude has no ideas about stretch marks….till now
Episode 10
SPOILER ALERT
Just as I was catching up…I learned that next week’s the finale…awww too bad…I really enjoy their cases, I learn something new each case…and seeing Atty. Yoon so cool while Atty. Kang crushing…hehehe!
Atty. Kwon didn’t…she didn’t fell in that trap right? I knew there’s something fishy with that paralegal…
Finally Atty. Heo and Atty. Lee…I do understand Atty. Heo’s hesitation…now there’s a bonus, her daughter is slowly inviting her in her life again.
Episode 9
SPOILER ALERT
I knew it! That ex-Yullim President Mr. Ko is a villain. He really never gets his hands dirty… probably that plot his good-for-nothing son did to demote Attorney Kwon Na Yeon was his scheme all along.
That new guy…the paralegal whose like showering Atty. Kwon with praises looks like a spy that Mr. Ko sent…another tool to dig some dirt on Atty. Kwon…aaahhhhh I hope she’ll be wary of that guy.
I’m never going to get used to the Kopiko commercial breaks. It cringes me every time, specially when they pretend they are eating it for the first time, amazed at the taste and act totally cringe. Funniest part is them saying “I feel energised!” 3 seconds after putting it in their mouths like it’s some sort of quick-acting medicine.
It’s coffee candy, not an EpiPen.
Episode 8
SPOILER ALERT
That founder and ex-President of Yullim, Mr. Ko… what’s he planning? Is he really just using Attorney Kwon to do the dirty work like reconstruction and about the salary then kick her out again? He’s fishy…that veteran actor…I can’t recall a role/character he played that he’s not a bad guy…oh maybe in W: Two Worlds but he played 2 characters there and one is the villain…so he’s one of those actors/actresses that I don’t trust…I mean as a good character.
I really love the friendship of those 3 friends/roommates/sister-like ladies!
As I said before…I also really enjoy those moments of Attorney Yoon and Attorney Kang’s coffee break or tea time…they comfort and confide with each other. Too bad there’s that “no dating an associate” in their office ethics or something…I really love for them to be together.
I’m not a fan of Noona-Dongsaeng pairings…but I like Attorney Heo and Attorney Lee together.
cheesy, so unrealistic, that one partner who didnt even read his contract
EPISODE 9
Ohhh…….better believe my doctor wifey and talked about this ep and yea……..I understand the professional demeaner needed at all times is above one’s personal feeling but I ain’t a doctor. He’d have been dead under my care. Wife would not give an answer which by itself IS an answer. We have 12 and 9 yr old daughters……….
The fact that we’ve been seeing and hearing non stop everyday about new victims of Islamic gang rapes and assaults…………little girls and boys as young as 7………..REPEAT offenders in many cases. Its horrible 😞
SK though……..one of the few where alcohol is allowed as a mitigating factor in ANY circumstance…………hence why the dude was free and about to repeat the crime again, that’s gotta change……
Episode 5
SPOILER ALERT
So the ex-wife really did change her mind (now that she’s in her thirties). Too bad for Attorney Yoon he’s no longer with her when she decided she wants children.
I thought there was no way out with this case! I’m actually glad I didn’t see any spoiler on social media
Oooohhh the last scene!
I don’t expect romance in this drama, but the main leads chemistry is awesome!
Catching up…just finished episode 3…
Surprisingly the chemistry is good…not expecting any romance but I like the ML and FL’s moments at that break room (drinking tea or coffee)…
I like FL’s roommates and bffs…
Her ex-boyfriend… he’s manipulative and a gaslighter…
The ML’s ex-wife…so now she’s ready to be a mother? I’m trying to understand her coz “your body, your choice” and she said they agreed before getting married that they’d live without any children…the ML was the one who changed his mind…but
Amazing…from first to last sentence…it’s got me hooked.
EPISODE 8
At the starting of the ep ML said that he can read more into peoples’ thoughts….in the last scene he must have realized that the FL is falling for him…I mean get the hint boss.
this was a good episode. good guys can scheme too.
EPISODE 8
This has been pretty good so far. Normally not one to comment over looks but FL is a beauty~
haha, like how he says his piece to ex, and just walked away.
I love legal dramas this 1 is holding my interest much morethen” law the city” that was boring as far as I’m concerned I’m sorry it’s only goner be 12 episodes …
With Beyond the bar i feel like its so intense i barely notice when the end if he episode is near that’s how intense it is where as Law in the city was more of a cute version. Like there is more of their daily life and friendship while the one if more focused.
she dumb or what? even layman knows confllict of interest.
ep6 how did she get this collection of scars before the eventual breakup? masochist much?
in ep5 both the pompous artist and rtard girl defendent are so annoying – and the unrealistic story.
Your comment is very offensive. We do not refer to mentally challenged or gifted people that way.& i wouldnt be surprised if a similiar llawsuit existed not unrealistic at all .
‘we’ have no problem with the terminology. as for unrealistic, no reowned artist would copy some paint splatter and passing it off as high art, not when it comes across as a pollock knockoff.
in terms of looks, the medical doctor roommate should be FL.
EPISODE 1
It was funny how the associate told them that it doesn’t matter if it was their choice or not to end up in Litigation but distributes work on the bases of their choice.
FL during the interview gave off the energy that she knows that she is into the business of law and not the business of justice …I mean she knows that all what matters in court is law and not idea of justice ….hope she continues like that ….if it turns outs that she is trapped with her own sense of justice and the ML is more practical and carries out justice by using harsh law methods it will be repetitive and boring.
ep 4 so poorly written that its not even posted here. lazy incompetent writer. always some female intern with naive sense of justice, questioning the unfathomable mind of her mentor. plus FL doesnt look like attorney material.
how did the leads got on so well so quick?
lookismon full display again, ml good guy good looking, ex boyfriend, sleezy tactics, aesthetically very challenged, at least by actors standards.
Yeay… another nice drama like Good Partner
Yipppeeeee
Good partner was good all the way through…
EPISODE 1
Cold logical boss, hot tempered idealistic employee/partner fight, learn, and grow through one another. You don’t get much more cliched than this. And we’re still not finished with Law and the City………which is more or less the same. 😐 Looking at the first and second halves of the year, it has indeed been heavily law and order focused and it makes me super critical when I’m watching the same genre over and over on repeat. Let’s watch #2 tomorrow and weigh in then~
