In a captivating fairytale, Li Qing Yue, a powerful immortal blessed by the Four Spirits, and Bai Jiu Si, a revered master of Dacheng, find themselves drawn together. However, a cruel twist of fate leads to a misunderstanding that ignites a heartbreaking conflict, even resulting in their demise.
But destiny is not done with them yet. Granted a second chance, they mend their broken bond and join forces as champions. Together, the immortal and the master unite to protect the innocent from a looming threat.
At last it is a good drama 🙂

Episode 27 plss
This is getting pretty good after episode 11.
The story really picks up starting from episode 5. The first four episodes were rough—almost made me drop the show. But as a Bai Lu fan, I stuck with it a bit longer, and I’m glad I did. It definitely gets better. Honestly, you’re not missing much in the first four episodes anyway, so I’d recommend just starting at episode 5.
It’s quite frustrating to watch how the ML brings to and leaves FL in dangerous situations and then suddenly comes to save her and she loves him so much for it. I hope she will get a brain at some point to recognise how horrible she is treated here but then she will forgive him anyways because he was confused XD.
face the river immortal is the usual ancient fantasy love story of 2 immortals. mythology has good human immortals fighting evil human immortals on earth. seems trying to be a comedy too.
The over-the-top comedic sound effects are really irritating, and the fact that Bai Lu is dubbed instead of using her own voice just makes it worse.
Not a great start. What is up with the tentacles coming out of her head? One kiss on the cheek equals a lifetime commitment? Ridic. The sect’s cringe treatment of her is also a miss.
This premiere was tough to get through. I’m not even sure what it’s trying to be—an unfunny comedy or a drama that doesn’t take itself seriously. So far, it’s the weakest thing I’ve seen Bai Lu in.
