Great drama!
I dont mind violence and gore and i`m all for unrealistic action but this took it too fat …no one could take the damage he got and be standing,hell never mind the knife wounds he was shot three times just in this episode….
Its still an awesome drama he aint no Gi-Hun Wick
I’m getting some John Wick vibes from this drama. So Ji Sub, how you have been missed!
This is the goriest, most violent and bloody k drama i have seen in a long time!!

Love that Gijun killed the assassin the same way he did to Giseok. And I like the parallel of having Gijun and Giseok get stabbed in the palm, but their counterattack was different. Of all the revenge shows, this was really satisfying. Gijun made sure the bad ones paid, and he also didn’t go soft on anyone who deserved a brutal ending. And like the one who got out of prison said, it only ends when they die. It’s sad but also true. Looking at it from another angle, Gijun is finally free from this exhausting life.
I also hated that Yang-sik got away with killing Sim, but I’m sure what goes around comes around, so he’s gonna get the same thing one day.

This show was overall really good. It’s the same-old revenge and power-struggle plot, but the execution was pretty amazing. Couldn’t help but binge-watch all the episodes in one seating. I just couldn’t stop. It’s very exciting and straight-forward.
I really love the detail with the fight choreography too. The fight sequences were thrilling but also nothing too fancy, which made it feel more raw and brutal. Instead of focusing on making them look appealing on camera, they made it look more practical, which suited the style of the drama more. Making the fighting style here more thuggish was the right choice. Reminds me of Ji Changwook’s fights in Worst of Evil. But of course, the ones here are much, much more brutal.
I love that we didn’t have any loose ends and things were wrapped up perfectly. The Korean title means “The Square”, but they honestly picked the right title for English—Mercy for None. Darn right.
The fight in episode 4 was really well thought-out! When facing a big group, Gijun went with the bat, but once the numbers went down significantly, he dropped the bat and used the knife for closer attacks.

But I think by now, it’s kinda obvious who’s behind everything. I can’t recognize who’s the guy on the recording, but I’m guessing it’s Juwoon’s son.
I wish we could go back to commenting under a single episode. At least that makes it easier for us to discuss a particular episode and it’s less confusing.

Seriously, how does Lee Junhyuk look so sexy. Lolol. And really miss watching So Jisub do action!!! Loving how brutal this is. Gijun is out to get them all. I wonder who really killed Giseok.

There are things that can slow it down. There are more that can hasten it’s presence directly to your doorstep. It is indomitable, unrelenting, implacable, and impossible to stop. It is the final boss that all will eventually run into no matter hard they try run from it………..SJS embodied all of this. SJS was DEATH……
Netflix……..they really don’t spare any expenses when it comes to their works. We just saw 75% of SK’s best villain and gangster actors all in one show. The lines were kind of meh but this wasn’t really telling a story. It was a ‘you did wrong and now you will pay’ azz kicking revenge flick and some that’s all that’s needed to suffice. It was bloody and violent and atrocious and it’s going to make Good Boy tough to watch tomorrow after the fighting choreography that was showcased here~
Only thing I didn’t like was the broken psycho rich boy syndrome with daddy problems. And did anyone see any female actresses in this or was I just blind to it because of all the brawling? lol
SJS’s last two dramas were meh, especially the last one. This isn’t Oscar material or anything but I think this was kind of a triumphant return from those last two flops~
The only actress I know and saw was the lawyer of N Clean…

typ kd writing, cant get away from putting the lead on some form of pedestal, either ooh hes so hot, or in this case, oooh hes so fierce, moves a mountain with his pinkie…
koreans need to learn some fight choreography from HK.

Do I have to watch this again and count how many died in this drama?
Right, you don’t get that privilege of killing yourself after all the things you did just to get that position. That was so satisfying see. I wasn’t expecting Gi Jun will live after all those stab wounds and gun shots…I was just glad he finished his revenge and gets to come back to his safe space and…you know.
It was a full packed action and revenge drama. I’m still amazed on how Netflix get to casts all these wonderful actors…we got to see those who have been a lead (and second lead) in their drama played even just a small role here…well not really a small role but they’re not the lead here.
I also liked that it’s short and complete…all stories are closed…no need for season 2. Thank you for a very satisfying drama.

So that kid whom his father tried so hard to make him a clean and honorable person and made him a Prosecutor, still wants to be part of his father’s kingdom…I mean he wants to rule both kingdom and emerged on top. He was the brain but Mr. Kim saw that as his another opportunity to shake and control Ju-woon and Bong-san. Mr. Prosecutor thought he can outsmart and outpower Mr. Kim…well he has so many treasures. hahaha!
There’s no other (new) character right? Coz we’re at the end… there’s no S2 right (please)? Mr. Kim told Gi Jun “our” so is that “our/we” the Prosecutor or there’s another power behind him? Coz I thought it’s that Japanese assassin, turns out he’s being use as their hitman.

So Mr. Kim wants to become like the old Chairman Oh… he wants to be the big boss of Ju-woon and Bong-san while controlling the two new Chairmans he appointed/created. So he is the main villain…cool!

Its very obvious theres someone else behind the death as Jun Mo paid the street kids to attack Gi-Seok but it was someone not related to them who actually killed him…
I`m thinking it might be the son of the Juwoon chairman but my second choice would be the fixer Cha Yeong-Do….its all the get rid of Gi-Seok as the successor for Juwoon and start a war beyween both the rival gangs…

So who’s that voice that the police recorded? Is it the Prosecutor? I can’t seem to recognize it.

I think there’s new power who wants the two Chairmans to fight then he will rise…what if the irony of it is… there’s another son of Chairman Oh?.hahaha!
That wasn’t very satisfying…the much awaiting death of that annoying brat felt…empty. I guess coz we know there’s another killer.
Episode 3
That brat is really digging his own grave…he now knows who and what Gi Jun is capable off…well he didn’t believe it…but if he just think…if Gi Jun is really like the ultimate boss that even the two Chairmans are afraid of him… wouldn’t those kids he sent will be impossible to kill Gi Seok? They are brothers.
So many suspicious character… I’m enjoying this really!
The epilogue…WOW! I knew something seems off with the death of the son of the big boss Chairman Oh…but that was still surprising.
Episode 2
Cha Seung Won’s character… he’s fishy…
Someone skilled definitely killed Gi Seok and it’s not those runaway errand kids…that someone wants to start a war between the two Chairmans.
I’m enjoying the fight scenes of this drama…like in My Name and Bloodhounds…
I keep getting starstruck with all the familiar faces and big stars in this drama…I keep on saying WOW.
Episode 1
Well the obvious suspect is that arrogant Gu Jun Mo (Gong Myung is so versatile really)…but why should we settle for the obvious? hehehe!
My suspect number 1 is that guy who told the other members that Gi Jun is Gi Seok’s brother (Hyung) and they all bowed. Coz I feel that there’s still a power struggle since Gi Seok is number 2 and the next in line.
My suspect number 2 will be the Prosecutor son of the Chairman… though I don’t have that much to catch for now…but he is still the Chairman’s son…so maybe…just maybe he wants to be the next Chairman?
or is it juwon using this opportunity to swallow up bongsan and getting rid of giseok? most likely – typical role for hjh. his role alone writes the story. no need for writer.
but gjm might just be red herring, the real culprit could be prosecutor, son of ju won, jealous that giseok is inheriting the business.
giseok deserves it, trying to act all magnanimous in that situation.
