Lee Je Ha followed in his father’s footsteps, who was considered a master and became a movie director. He received worldwide attention for his debut film and was called a genius, but he became obsessed over a possible sophomore jinx. Over the past 5 years, he has not worked on anything. Deciding to end his 5-year hiatus, he begins to work on his second film. The screenplay tells a romance story involving someone with only a limited lifetime.
While researching the movie, Lee Je Ha meets Lee Da Eum. She is an aspiring actress and suffers from a rare, incurable disease; she doesn’t know how long she has left to live, but is very social, and everyone in the hospital knows her. Lee Da Eum advises Lee Je Ha on his movie and becomes interested in the script; this becomes a turning point for her as an aspiring actress. As they work on the romance movie together, Lee Je Ha and Lee Da Eum, who have their own illnesses, form a romantic relationship.

in cooking you want to extract maximum umami…as if falling in love isnt experiential enough, the dude falls for terminal patient for max drama. and i agree with previous comment, fl is a bit too long in the tooth to act so coy, very irritating to watch indeed.
Gave up watching the show. I like the Ml but this show just made me so irritated. How do you fall so quickly in love with someone when you are the reticent reserved type? It’s not like she was overwhelmingly charming either. Something just didn’t gell and the FL made me almost throw up, what is with the coy attitude? So unrealistic.
I am giving up on this show. Super unrealistic that the producer would give lead role to a very very ill actress. The actress is also supremely very selfish to want the role when she cannot even control her bouts of attacks and the fact that she may die any time and jeopadise the entire production. Dunno why the ML took on this drama. Slow, boring and so unrealistic. Sad as really like the male lead.

This is the talk they use when talking to a sombe or higher ranking person? Like non romantic aegyo? I have more problem with his talk, very slow like thinking about every word, but that actor always talk like this. In other dramas too.

fl is so pathetic, let her vanity of being in film get the better of her. ends up causing headache for many people. cant she just go quietly without inconveniencing people.
Agree, is so unreal that the ML wld give the key role to someone who is so ill and can die any time. FL role is beyond selfish to want this role dspitenher collapsing often and being so ill. The only logical one is her dad. Tried to give this show a chance by watching on depsite it being boring. Now i cannot continue with her collapsing in her first rehearsal with the supporting role actress. Seriously ridiculous plot. Sad waste of the ML’s talent in this drama which has tanked in ratings.

After watching this episode, I’m going to pass. Had a 12 yr fight w/ Hodgkins. Met my wife in the middle of it who happened to be one of my doctors 😁 but there are times where I still easily get lost in the pre wife/kids yrs like some of the works we view and I’d rather not. Couldn’t finish Thirty Nine and that had a cast that dwarfs this one. Catch yall in other pieces~
