Ju Ga Ram used to be a rugby player who was the hope for Korean rugby. He had talent and star potential, but a drug scandal ruined everything. All of the sports media covered his drug scandal. He retired from the sport under the stigma of being a drug addict.
3 years later, he returns as a contract coach for the high school rugby team where he once played for. The high school rugby team is the weakest team in its league. As a coach, Ju Ga Ram shows unrivaled charisma and uncompromising leadership ability. He also reunites with his ex-girlfriend, Bae I Ji, who is a shooting coach at the same high school. They dated for 10 years, but after his drug scandal, Ju Ga Ram disappeared. Now, they reunite again while working at the same high school.
Meanwhile, the rugby team has 7 players, including its captain, Yun Seong Jun. Seong Jun is in the 3rd year of high school. He has a twin brother who is a member of the junior national soccer team. Seong Jun also played soccer in the past, but he switched to rugby due to his lack of talent. He is twisted by envy and feels inferior toward people with talent. Yet, Seong Jun is a hard-working person who wants to be recognized in sports.
ep10…
So myasthenia gravis incurable but easy to manage so you can live a normal life…for some reason this genius hid his illness for no reason i can see except being a moody muppet…
I stopped watching on ep 8. It is no longer rugby because more than half of the episode is about the shooting drama and very little about the rugby team. .
ep7…
Everything about the start is stupid who the f*** was he helping by keeping it a secret…all it did was end up destroying his career and ruining hers
ep6..
I kinda hate that the reason he is banned was because of juicing when its very obvious he was medicating….its the false pride of not letting people know hes badly sick
ep5
My basic issue with the drama is the reality of HS and collage Rugby…in real life its the players who could find a place on a team that would be the problem because ALL the collage teams would have TO MANY applicants to fill the team slots including reserves not too few like here…
As for the shooting coach by throwing the match she showed she should be on a professional team and absolutely never be on a National team….
EPISODE 5
I don’t feel sorry for shooting player coach. Been a pushover every ep so far. And lol……….HS coaches acting like they’re hot 💩? 😂Shooting HC is sooooo lame~
I skip their part. The drama is about rugby,, the players, and their coach not shooting.
By doing that she proved she doesnt deserve to be on the national team…or any team
does the writer know anything about korean sports schools? or any of the sports?
Id say they were clueless…im pretty these schools have a set number of players they can admit every year with some kind of discretion to allow for exceptional students to enroll above that…
A team sport like Soccer or Rugby would definitely have a minimum number allowed and take anyone who passed a basic test to fill it….as for the tests here its a joke as they wouldnt compete against someone like that but show if they had potential in the sport in Rugby and Fencing he showed that but in Shooting he failed as i imagine in a real test he would need to make a minimum score not beat another player
the father in ep 3 such a loser, for so long he lets his failure rules his world view not just for himself but for son. so over the top episode…fake.
I’m not really familiar with rugby much less all the technicalities of the game. However I know that when it comes to kdrama, I watch mainly for the…drama. I mean, the ability to tell a compelling story and connecting with the humanity of viewers works for me.
So because of Kdrama drought, Im watching a sports dramas which is not my fav genre, and this one is totally winning me over! Surprised that ep 3 made me teary – who hasn’t faced tough decisions, lost chances, and trying to recover dignity after messing up? Rooting for Hanyang team to make it to the Nationals!🏉💥🏆
from a short clip in first ep, ml had some kind of medical emergency during his career, is it vanity, why couldnt he reveal what actually happened…even if not to the world, at least to people who cared about him, like gf.
a rugby pass is just that a pass, not meant to be some kind of heroic feat and looks very strange when they portray it that way, not to mention yks motion looks very awkward.
ep2…
The coach needs to spell it out the that whinny brat of a captain …either play or leave
LOL had to laugh at the clock running down as he was running for the try…Rugby doesnt work like that if the ball is still in play the clock doesnt matter the game ends when the current play ends
they actually gave him a cauliflower ear for this one shot, but nowhere else.
found out i was wrong about yks’s ear, its actually like that.
rugby captn should have been someone less whiny and better built.
she isnt hot enough to be pointing a pistol at anyone only to be forgiven afterwards.
no mouth guards on any of them…yikes!
ep1…
Someone needs to explain the consequences of not having a coach to the Rugby captain…he needs to know its a case of no coach no team
Ahhh Rugby tend to forget South Korea plays a lot of Rugby….for those who know nothing about Rugby its similar to American football but very very different at the same time….
Rugby is a 15 player game but they also have a version called Rugby 7s with only 7 aside which is what they seem to be playing here
I never heard of American football until we moved here in the USA. We knew rugby when we lived in Hong Kong, we even wore “rugby” style shirts because those were in at the time. LOL
There are similarities and huge differences but American football is simply boring, unlike rugby IMHO.
